UPDATE: Christmas Parades Rescheduled Due To Rain

TENNESSEE VALLEY (WHNT) – Two cities have rescheduled Christmas parades initially scheduled for Thursday, December 5 due to the chance of rain.

Albertville has rescheduled its Christmas parade for Thursday, December 12 at        5:30 p.m.  This year’s theme is “Heroes Home for the Holidays” in honor of servicemen and women who will be unable to spend Christmas at home with their families.

Arab has moved its Christmas parade to Tuesday, December 10.  It will begin at 6 p.m.

Athens – The Reliance Bank Christmas Parade has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m.  Athens High School’s basketball team is playing Austin at home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the original rain date. For the safety of those traveling to the game and the parade, the rain date has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 12.  The parade route is from Athens High School, west on Hobbs Street, around The Square and south of Jefferson Street to Hometown Grocery.

Boaz has rescheduled its Christmas parade for Friday, December 13 at 5:30 p.m.  Line up for the parade will be at 4:00 p.m.

Courtland has canceled its Christmas parade this year.

Moulton has rescheduled its parade from this Friday, Dec. 6 to next Friday, Dec. 13.

Sheffield has postponed its parade, but the city hasn’t announced the new date yet.
