FLORENCE, Ala. - Police have made an arrest in connection to numerous home burglaries throughout Lauderdale County.

Friday, officers responded to a neighborhood just off Cox Creek Parkway to a burglary in progress. When they got here, they captured a man crawling out of a window.

At the time, they detained Brady Sanchez on charges of burglary and theft. Investigators believe he's responsible for several other burglaries in the area.

Once they began to dig into the suspects past, they found other agencies across the southeast which were looking for the man, under a different name.

Police have linked three burglary cases in Florence and an additional burglary in Lauderdale County last Friday to Sanchez.

But once Florence investigators started looking into Sanchez, they found out that`s not his name at all. Nashville Metro Police identified him as 32-year-old Kenny Vega. Authorities said he has felony arrest warrants there for burglary as well.

Detectives have been able to recover several items which were taken during the one day crime spree. Those items will be returned to the rightful owners.

Kenny Vega is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on bond totaling $15,000. After answering to the charges in Lauderdale County, Vega will be returned to Nashville to face those charges.
