FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) - A short film production shot partly in Florence is wrapping up this week.

'La Madame' is a Transylvania based vampire story written and directed by Carlos Rosales. CS Productions shot a lot of the film in Florence's Wildwood Park, and other areas in the south.

Some of the cast members are also Florence natives with little to no acting experience. Rosales said it wouldn't have been as easy of a process without the Florence community backing them.

"Everybody's displaying the dream," smiled Rosales. "Without the people and the actors and the extras, there's no way that we could achieve this film."

The crew has a few scenes left to shoot. One will be shot Sunday at the University of North Alabama. Rosales said they have turned a building into a castle.

With all of the hectic production wrapping up, film makers call the piece a 'puzzle that is finally coming together'.

"We're independent," explained Roberto Rosales. "It's a two-man crew, from editing filming, doing audio, moving, talking to actors. You just can't imagine.

They are expecting to release the full film later this year, hopefully near the end of September. Rosales said they plan to hold a premier showing in a Florence theater.

He also mentioned plans to film in the Shoals area for his next film, a Sci-Fi.
