COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Margaret and Darryl Keeton has owned Meadow Brooks Homes in the Shoals for eight years. They sell mobile homes to residents all over north Alabama.

This weekend, they experienced an unfortunate situation, one they are too often familiar with.

‘My husband came back Monday morning to find we had been burglarized sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning,’ said Margaret.

This is the ninth time someone has burglarized the business.

We took a look at the damaged home. It included windows, walls and doors. Darryl says the damage is starting to create a financial problem.

‘Each time we have been hit which is nine times you can average, it’s about four to five thousand dollars per hit,’ said Darryl.

We took action for the Keeton family. We contacted Muscle Shoals Police Chief Robert Evans.

He said he plans to send more officers to patrol the area. He claims there is an active investigation and is asking for the public’s help.

If you have any information that can help authorities, you are urged to contact the Shoals Crime Stoppers at 256-386-8685 or the Muscle Shoals police department.
