RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Two pharmacies get hit by thieves just miles apart Sunday.

While officers collected evidence from the Russellville Pharmacy, a burglar alarm goes off at the Family Pharmacy in Littleville.

In the surveillance video, officers can see a car pull up to the Russellville Pharmacy just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

Two people get out, with their faces covered, and clothed head from toe in heavy clothing.  The men use a large piece of concrete to try to shatter the glass, but the glass won't budge.

Just 25 minutes later, the Family Pharmacy in Littleville gets broken into.  This time, the thieves get away with prescription pills.  Police believe the cases are connected.

According to investigators, this latest break-in attempt at the Russellville Pharmacy is the second attempt in just three months.
