MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. — Muscle Shoals City School officials are trying to determine who wrote a threatening message on an orange post-it-note. A statement released on Sunday reads the note is directed towards Muscle Shoals High School and intended for Halloween day.
The Muscle Shoals Police Department confirmed the note was found on a hallway floor Friday evening. School officials said they reviewed camera footage from Friday and interviewed people “who have knowledge of the note’s source,” over the weekend. They say the footage provided some answers.
Police stated parents should expect an increase of officers at the school to ease concerns. They also said the department maintains a constant live feed surveillance video of all school campuses, which is linked to their dispatch.
Neither the police nor school leaders have released what the note had written on it.
