TENNESSEE VALLEY (WHNT) – Don’t forget to leave something extra for your letter carrier on Saturday. Fill your mailbox with food or leave a bag by it to help your local food bank.
Saturday, May 11 is the annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive. It’s traditionally held on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend.
Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food items to give to local food banks.
The drive is the largest one-day food-collection event in the nation.
