LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office says teams have found a 20-year-old man with autism who had been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
A volunteer firefighter found Richard Lislie McDill just before 1 p.m. Wednesday. McDill is okay — more details are still coming in.
Prior to this, McDill had reportedly walked away from his home in the Wright community. Investigators say he has an autism spectrum disorder, and were concerned about his safety.
McDill lives on County Road 133, off County Road 14 in Waterloo. The search was centered in the area near where 133 meets County Road 8.
