Surveillance video catches some would-be criminals in action.   One throws a brick into the window at Russellville Pharmacy.  The alarm goes off, scaring the men away.  But just last month, two other pharmacies in Russellville become the target of thieves.  Then just days later, a pharmacy in Florence got hit.

Investigators say in all of the burglaries, the glass gets shattered by a brick so the thieves can get inside, and raid the stock of drugs.

Of the four recent pharmacy burglaries, suspects got away with pills in just one case, but still, officers say it`s a troubling trend they hope can end, with the public`s help.

“One of the things that assist us is a citizen that sees suspicious activity and calls it in,” said Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett.

If you have any information about these burglaries give an anonymous call to the Shoals Area Crime Stoppers tipline at 256-386-8685.

If any of the suspects are arrested as a result of your call, it could be worth a cash reward.
