FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) - Two men are in the Lauderdale County Detention Center, accused of an overnight burglary spree at two Florence car dealerships.

Police believe the two men may have been eyeing cars at a third dealership.

Just like Mark Thompson has done several times before, he left his personal car parked at a car dealership in Florence Tuesday night after work, and caught a ride home with his girlfriend.

Wednesday morning when he went to get something out of it, he noticed something wasn't right.

Thompson explained, "I found the driver’s door was open, the center stack was torn out of the dashboard and the radio had been removed."

Thompson was the victim of a car burglary, and according to Florence Police, eleven vehicles at two car dealerships were broken into.

Police say the vehicles hit were all used and targeted for their radios.

"They seemed to be particular about the brand,” said Thompson. “There was one that they removed from a car back here and left it on the ground next to it, because it was a cheaper brand I assume."

Early Wednesday morning, police spotted two men near a third dealership.

Jeffrey Landers and Bradley Ledlow have been arrested and charged with numerous counts of breaking and entering and theft of property.

Mark Thompson was relieved to hear the news of the arrests, “Very glad, yeah, glad to get my stuff back and I hope they get the justice they have coming to them."

Investigators say much of the stolen property has been recovered.

Including a pair of dress shoes in Mark Thompson's car, he was planning to donate to charity.

According to court records, Bradley Wayne Ledlow was out of jail on bond for similar charges, when he was arrested on Wednesday morning.

Ledlow was arrested by Florence Police in July for breaking and entering.
