LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. – The Shoals Creek Bridge known as Happy Hollow bridge on County Road 47 opened back up after being closed for several hours.

The Lauderdale County EMA reported there was a barge resting against the bridge Wednesday evening. Emergency crews were able to remove the barge Thursday morning.

EMA Director George Grabryan suggests everyone stay off and away from the water until levels return to normal. The creeks and rivers all have a very high water level and swifter currents because of the recent rainfall.
