Sheriff: Marshall County inmate commits suicide

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. — According to  Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls, an inmate at the jail has committed suicide.

Sheriff Walls said jail staff found the inmate Saturday morning while conducting cell checks. The body has been taken to a state laboratory for an autopsy.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is looking into the inmate’s death.
