HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – It’s November, and the Christmas holiday spirit is in full swing at the Von Braun Center for a special event that raises money for Randolph School of Huntsville.

That includes several appearances by Santa Claus for photos and breakfast.

It’s the 28th Annual Christmas Under the Tree, which runs through Sunday.

So what’s there? Organizers say shoppers will find everything from houseware items to Christmas gifts to children’s clothing to sportswear.

There are 75 merchants from eight states around the Southeast.

Organizers it’s a one-stop shop for people who want to get a head start on holiday shopping.

There’s even a ‘Fa-la-la-la-la Lounge” for anyone who wants to watch a football game, while their spouse and children are shopping.

And this year, shoppers will have a chance to win one of the hottest items for girls this year.

“We’re actually giving away one of the top toys for girls this year which is the new American Girl,” said Heather Clowers, a volunteer for the event and mother to two children who go to Randolph School.  “Her name is Caroline.  So if you have a granddaughter or a daughter that loves American Girl, like my girls do, you should come on Sunday.”

The money raised goes into Randolph’s Financial Aid program to help families who need some help in tuition costs.

Randolph is a private school, grades K-through-12, with an enrollment of 1001 students.
