SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco has transformed into Gotham City to help make a 5-year-old boy’s Make-A-Wish dream come true.
Miles, 5, loves Batman. Much like his hero, Miles has been fighting a battle since he was 1.
Miles has leukemia. Now that he is in remission, he is getting his chance to be Batkid for a day with the help of Make-A-Wish of the Greater Bay Area, city of San Francisco and thousands of well-wishers.
Miles’ day started with ABC7 News anchor Ama Daetz alerting BatKid that there’s trouble in Gotham City. Miles has spent the day battling some of Gotham’s most notorious criminals including The Riddler and The Penguin. His day will end at 2 p.m. PST when he is awarded the key to the city in a presentation at City Hall.
