BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB School of Dentistry was evacuated Wednesday morning, possibly from transformer explosion that filled the area with smoke, ABC 33/40’s James Spann reported.
There have been no reports of injuries, but the area was filled with smoke and a strange smell, according to reports.
Birmingham Fire & Rescue and Alabama Power are on the scene trying to confirm the cause of the explosion and repair any damage.
