HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - With less than a week until elections, Madison County's voting machines are being put to the test.

Elections Administrator Frank Barger oversaw a third, and final, test of the machines on Wednesday.  This last run-through was a public test -- which is required by state law.

It allowed local party representatives and anyone interested in the process to make sure the machines are working properly.  All went well.

Barger says his office is ready for next Tuesday, November 4.

However, he reminds voters who may not have taken part in the primaries that they will need a photo ID when they go to vote.
