MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is bringing his campaign to Alabama next month.
The former Florida governor will campaign Nov. 7 at the Alabama-LSU football game in Tuscaloosa. The Alabama secretary of state’s office announced the visit Tuesday. The stump stop is part of four Southeastern Conference game day visits, called “SEC Tailgating with Jeb.”
Bush had a private fundraiser in Birmingham in August.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will speak Saturday in Birmingham at a convention of the Alabama Democratic Conference.
At least seven presidential candidates have visited Alabama ahead of year’s March 1 southeastern regional primary. Southern states have banded together in the so-called “SEC Primary” to try to draw more interest from presidential contenders.
