HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Police responded to a robbery at Church’s Chicken on Memorial Parkway around 8:30 Saturday evening.

Huntsville Police say Johnny Lee Woods robbed the business at gunpoint.  Investigators say Woods walked away from the store with an undisclosed amount of money, but they later caught up with him.

In 2010, Woods was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and impersonating a police officer. Court documents show woods was sentenced in July of 2012 to seven years in prison for each charge.  However, that sentence was suspended, and woods was placed on supervised probation for two years instead.

No one was injured during the robbery.
