HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Police officers deployed spike strips to end a pursuit, leading to a wreck that shut down the intersection of Chase Road and Meridian Street Sunday night.

Huntsville Police say callers phoned 911, with one reporting a stolen vehicle and another reporting a female stuck in the door being dragged by that car.

Officers found the car in the McDonald's parking lot at the intersection of Highway 72 and Shields  Road.

Police say when the driver saw the officers, he took off. They say they pursued him up to Chase and Meridian, where spike strips were deployed.

According to police, the spike strips stopped the car, but not before it collided with another car traveling on Meridian.

The offender attempted to run on foot, but police say they quickly apprehended him.

He, as well as the woman driving the other car, and the woman dragged by the stolen vehicle, were all transported to the hospital.

Police say no one was seriously injured.
