Passenger Arrested, Driver Still At-Large After High Speed Chase

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) —  Around 11:15 Thursday evening, officers patrolling around Jordan Lane and Sparkman Drive in Huntsville saw a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee take off at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle continued down Sparkman to I-565, jumped on Old Madison Pike, made it around to Highway 20 and then turned into Carrington Cove Apartments.

That’s when two people ran from the vehicle. Police caught up with the passenger and apprehended him. The driver is still at -large. A K-9 unit was brought up to track down the driver.

The passenger was arrested after police say they found marijuana in the vehicle.

Police say they believe vehicle may possibly be stolen.
