Voters in Madison County District Three will head back to the polls in just six weeks for a special runoff election.
Fellow Republians Joey Parker and Eddie Sisk will face off in the April 24th runoff election. Parker and Sisk finished one-two in Tuesday night's five man district primary, where no candidate got more than thirty-one percent of the vote.
District Three covers a wide swath of land that includes Gurley, New Hope, and parts of Hampton Cove and south Huntsville.
Joey Parker is the longtime boys basketball coach at New Hope High School. Eddie Sisk is a retired small business owner who ran a shop on University Drive for twenty years.
The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Jeff Cooper in the November general election.
