Overnight fire damages home in Gurley

GURLEY, Ala. – A fire damaged a home on Laurel Lane Tuesday morning.

The fire call came in around 2:00 a.m. Crews put out the fire but are still monitoring the home for hot spots.  According to Justin Cole with the Keel Mountain Fire Department, three people and three dogs were able to make it out of the home safely.

The majority of the fire damage appears to be on the left side of the home.

Keel Mountain, Killingsworth Cove, Gurley, and Central Fire Departments responded to the call.
