One dead, two hospitalized after multi-vehicle wreck in Lacey's Spring

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – One person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a multi-vehicle wreck in Lacey’s Spring, according to authorities.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the area of Highway 36 and Talucah Road around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel said Jason Eric Ledbetter, 46, was killed when the 2005 Ford Mustang he was driving crossed the center line on Highway 36 and hit a 2014 Infiniti Q50 head-on.

Authorities said Ledbetter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trooper Daniel said the driver of the Infiniti and a juvenile passenger were airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating the crash.
