ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT)- A church in Athens is lending a helping hand.
Central Church of Christ opened their gym doors as a community warming center.

One stranded motorist from Nashville happened to be a musician and showed his gratitude by playing a song for everyone.
Some students from Mississippi State were stranded but quickly made themselves at home.
This morning, volunteers with the church prepared breakfast for everyone.
