GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Kala’s Cottage in Guntersville is hosting two wine tasting events over the next two weeks to benefit local organizations.

The store in downtown Guntersville is full of unique finds and it is visited by dozens of people every week.

“We have a couple of charity events coming up, to benefit Habitat for Humanity and 2nd Chance Animal Shelter,” owner Sally Cobb says.

The wine tasting fundraising events will be held on the 17th and 24th of this month. Each night benefits one of the organizations. It’s a 20 dollar minimum donation entry fee. “We encourage bigger donations than that because that’s really what drives these charities,” Cobb says.

The events run from six until eight o’clock and you don’t have to register.

There will be an array of wines to taste, food, and live music. “It’s just a really good way to come out and support your local charity and socialize as well,” Cobb says.
