Alabama State Troopers are investigating an accident on Interstate 59 involving a truck and a state DOT vehicle. It happened about 11 a.m. in DeKalb County, near the Etowah-DeKalb County line between mile marker 209 and 210 southbound.
Officials tell us a truck rear-ended a state vehicle that was pulling a directional arrow trailer. That’s one of those flashing sings that tell you to get over into another lane.
The state vehicle caught fire.
There’s no report of any serious injuries at this time.
