GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A train slid off the tracks in Guntersville Tuesday, blocking all four lanes of Highway 227.  This is just behind the U.S. Post Office.

It happened some time after 9 a.m.  The train was derailed in four spots.  Police say this is a common problem, for trains to derail in this area.

No one was hurt.  The area was blocked for most of the day and police are re-routed traffic just around the site back to 227.

The area opened up again around four- thirty.
