MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -- Several Tennessee Valley residents are not getting the response they had hoped for from a Marshall County company.

Regina Lankford has several pages of letters and receipts -- they're documents sent to her by a company called Bonds & Associates, LLC. They're about a monument she bought last year for a family member who passed away.

However, like several other Tennessee Valley residents, Lankford doesn't have that monument or her money. "I've gotten a letter. I have called, sent emails, texts, and no response from them at all," Lankford says.

We called the company several weeks ago, when numerous people contacted us having the same issue.

We were told the owner of the company passed away and the company was working to provide the monuments or the funds to its customers. That is something the Better Business Bureau confirmed on its website profile on the company.

We gave the company time to do as it said, but customers hadn't seen any action. Now though, they're getting answers."Filing chapter 7 bankruptcy, so now it's like, I don't know if I get my money back or not," Lankford says.

A letter customers received states it will be determined whether or not sufficient assets are there for refunds. "I haven't gotten an answer for nothing and I just want to know where my money went," Lankford says.

She says she is going to buy another monument from a different company, but she says she had hoped it wouldn't come to that. "It's a lot of money but I'm still going to get him another one. I'm going to do what I can," Lankford says.
