Sheriff: “Violent Sex Offender” from Tennessee caught in Albertville

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A sex offender from Coffee County, Tennessee was caught in Marshall County this weekend.

Albertville Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies say Jeffery Scott Hosch, Sr. moved to the area but failed to notify authorities in Tennessee or Alabama.

Hosch, 46, was arrested at 2270 Rose Road in Albertville. He was booked in the Marshall County Jail and has no bond at this time. He faces several charges:

-Violation of Requirements
-Violation of Travel Restrictions
-Violation of Identification
-Residing in Prohibited Location
-Failure to Establish Residence
-Failure of Two Time Felon to Register with Sheriff
-Possession of Altered Firearm
-Violent Felon in Possession of Pistol
-Eluding Police

“Hosch is classified by the State of Tennessee as a ‘Violent Sex Offender’ and because of the great working relationship with Albertville Police, working together we were able to apprehend this individual and remove him from the streets of Marshall County,” said Sheriff Scott Walls.
