ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) – Arab Police are investigating a burglary that happened Thursday at a home on Elk Drive.

Chief Ed Ralston says a woman came home and found a man in her kitchen, going through her drawers. “She went into the house, hit the panic alarm, and the guy ran off.”

He says the man cut the woman on the wrist with a knife.

The woman’s injury was not serious.

Police say the woman is 42-year-old Connie Alexander.

Police don’t have any leads in the case, only that the suspect was wearing a ski mask and camo. “We’ve had some people come up today and say they’ve seen someone in camo, and we’ve checked out all those leads,” Chief Ralston says.

He says the department is working to find out more details. “There’s more to this story than we can tell,” Chief Ralston says. “All the facts are not in, but that’s all I can say for now.”
