Person rescued from burning home in DeKalb County

Crossville, Ala. (WHNT)-  The Kilpatrick Volunteer Fire Department rescued a person from a burning home Sunday morning.   The fire happened at a home on County Road 692 north of Kilpatrick.

WHNT News 19 has learned there were two people inside the house.  One person was able to get out unassisted, but the firefighters had to go in and get the second person.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital to be checked out but was later released.
