Pedestrian killed in Marshall County wreck Saturday night

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – A pedestrian was killed in a Marshall County wreck Saturday night.

Trooper Curtis Summerville with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said Christopher A. McCray, 34, of Grant died after being hit by a Toyota 4Runner at 8:45 p.m. on U.S. 431 at mile marker 303 two miles north of Guntersville.

The Marshall County Coroners Office told WHNT News 19 it was called to the wreck around 8:52 p.m.

The Coroners Office confirmed McCray was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to authorities, the driver of the Toyota was not injured.

The Coroners Office was assisted by Alabama State Troopers, with Guntersville Police and Guntersville Fire responding as well.

ALEA Troopers said the wreck is under investigation.
