Georgia man died after wreck on I-59 in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. – Officials say one person is dead after a single-vehicle accident in DeKalb County.

DeKalb County Coroner Tom Wilson said the wreck occurred on I-59 near the Sulphur Springs exit Saturday afternoon.

Alabama State Troopers say James Harold Hillis, 61, of Silver Creek, Ga., died when his tractor-trailer ran off the roadway, overturned, and caught fire around 3:40 p.m.

Troopers pronounced Hillis dead at the scene.
