BOAZ, Ala. (WHNT) — An accident at a building company in Boaz on Thursday has left one man dead.

According to Boaz Police Chief Michael Abercrombie, an industrial accident occurred at Kabco Builders on Thursday.

The Marshall County Coroner’s Office said the accident occurred when Mr. Brown fell from an elevated platform located in the plant. No others were injured in the incident.

The coroner confirmed Jerry Brown, 61, was pronounced dead in the Marshall Medical Center South Emergency Room following the accident at Kabco. Emergency room staff contacted the coroner’s office at approximately 12:45 pm to notify them of the death.

Boaz Police, the coroner’s office and OSHA are investigating the incident.
