UPDATE: Etowah County authorities confirm missing Gadsden man was found dead

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. — Etowah County authorities confirm that the body of a missing man has been found. Jeremy Lipscomb was found dead in the water near where he was last seen. Lipscomb was last seen on October 20 in the area of the boat landing at Fitts Ferry Road and Whites Chapel Road in Gadsden.

Authorities said his body will be sent to Huntsville for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
