Marshall County Sheriff’s Office looking for suspect in woman’s death last week

BOAZ, Ala. – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says it has identified a suspect in the death of Gloria Stephanie Palomec-Santiago, 24.

The woman was found dead early Thursday morning, June 2 along Brock Road in Boaz.

Sheriff’s investigators have a murder arrest warrant for Edgar Almanza-Zarazua, 20, of Albertville.  They believe he has fled the state of Alabama, though.  Several agencies are working to find him, including the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, Boaz Police, Douglas Police, DeKalb County Sheriff, ALEA, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and F.B.I.
