Marshall County Deputies investigating shooting in Asbury community

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was called to a shooting late Tuesday morning.

According to Assistant Chief Deputy Steve Guthrie, deputies were called to the Asbury area around 11 a.m.

Authorities confirm the victim was shot in the face and taken to the hospital by a family member. Deputies found Cory Tyler Dunn at the residence.

Emergency crews were able to locate the vehicle transporting the victim and render aid. The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

Dunn is charged with second-degree assault. No bond has been set at this time.
