JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about a string of thefts.

Deputies say they have received two reports in the western part of the county, one for a theft and another for an attempted theft.

Investigators tell WHNT there are two suspects, a man and a woman, both in there 20’s who are driving a gray or silver full size Dodge pickup truck.  Deputies say the two went to two separate residences and asked if they could do odd jobs like tree trimming or driveway work.

Jackson County Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen says the two then ask the homeowner to use their restroom and while inside the house steal various items.

One of incidents took place in the Letcher community on County Road 317 and the other took place on Tipton Street in Paint Rock.
