GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Guntersville City Schools is working to make registration easier this year by moving to an online system.
The system is working on its new online registration process for students. It’s a process Superintendent Brett Stanton says is a step in the right direction. “It provided a great opportunity to make sure that we were very efficient and effective with the way we have student information,” Stanton says.
School officials say the new system will allow parents to be more actively involved in the process. “They’ll go to our website, and the information regarding InfoSnap will be on our website as far as guiding them through the process,” Stanton says.
The program is in both English and in Spanish.
The school system is also updating its website, and the registration program will be listed on it.
Parents will be notified about details on when to register their students in the upcoming days.
School officials say this is just one step toward an ultimate goal. “Our desire overall is to go paperless through our system, with the variety of forms and factual information that’s needed, and this is just a step in the right direction,” Stanton says.
If parents don’t have access to a computer, they can come to the Board of Education Office at 4200 AL Highway 79S to be helped through the process.
