GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A structure in downtown Guntersville was damaged by flames early Monday morning.

The business, at 1440 Gunter Avenue, caught fire around 1:30 a.m.  All three Guntersville fire stations responded.  The attic was engulfed in flames when they got there.

Fire Marshal Buddy Pettry said the structure has fire and water damage throughout.  It is home to a small business, but Pettry did not specify the name.

The cause is under investigation, he said.
