Fort Payne Public Works building catches fire

FORT PAYNE, Ala. – Firefighters were working to put out a fire at Fort Payne’s Public Works building Friday afternoon.

The fire started around 4:30. Police say no one was in the building when the fire started.

Flames could be seen shooting out of the building.

The Fort Payne Fire Department asked citizens to stay away from the Public Works building while they work to put the fire out and clean the area up.
