DeKalb Co. DHR employee charged with public intoxication, possession of controlled substance

FORT PAYNE, Ala. – A DeKalb County Department of Human Resources employee was arrested over the weekend for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Ashley Rae Morrison, 31, of Fort Payne, was arrested Saturday at the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office on a public intoxication charge.

When Morrison’s personal effects were searched, deputies found a pill bottle with the label missing, according to Fort Payne Police. Inside the bottle was hydrocodone. She was also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

She was transferred to the DeKalb County Jail.
