DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. - A former corrections officer from Scottsboro has been arrested again.

Scottsboro Police arrested Nicholas Butler, 32, on Monday for five additional counts of tampering with government records.  He bonded out shortly afterwards.

Butler was arrested on similar charges earlier this month in DeKalb County.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says this is due to an ongoing investigation with the Department of Homeland Security and the Sheriff's Office.  More charges are pending.

"It's always bad when you have to arrest one of your employees. This is still being investigated and we hope it will be over soon," said Sheriff Harris.

Butler has been relieved of his duties at the DeKalb County Detention Center.  He had worked for the Sheriff's Office for more than 10 years.
