Boaz police arrest two men in gang graffiti case

BOAZ, Ala. – Police arrested two men Thursday who they said are responsible for spraying gang graffiti at several locations in the city over the weekend.

Jonah Dustin Haley was arrested at a home in Kilpatrick and charged with three counts of criminal mischief, according to the Boaz Police Department.

Later Thursday night, police said Jilberto Mateo contacted them to surrender at his home in Kilpatrick. He also was charged with three counts of criminal mischief.

Police said they found unused spray paint cans in Mateo’s vehicle.
