MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. – Both Boaz City Schools and Marshall County Schools announced they will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Both school systems said there has been a sharp increase in absences due to illness, and leaders are going to take the necessary steps to sanitize the schools.
The schools will be closed on January 28-29, 2019.
In Boaz, absences and checkouts have exceeded 10% of the student population for the school system.
