Marshall County Coroner identifies Arab homicide victim

ARAB, Ala. – The Marshall County Coroner has identified the Arab homicide victim.

Coroner Cody Nugent said Heather Leellen Golden, 39, was found dead in a house fire in Arab on Saturday morning.

Arab Police Chief Ed Ralston confirmed Arab Fire and Rescue crews were called to a house fire on Fourth Street NE around 3 a.m.

Once the fire was out, Ralston said crews found a woman’s body, and she had been shot.

Nugent said the autopsy on Golden’s body will be on Monday.

Arab Police are investigating the homicide.
