ARAB, Ala. -- For the second time in nearly two weeks Arab Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Arab Police say around 11 o'clock Tuesday night officers were called out to a convenience store for an armed robbery. "The business is Hi-Tech Fuel on 231, and the business owners were closing up shop and walking to their vehicles. As they walked to their vehicles, two men dressed in black with masks and gloves held them up at gunpoint and demanded money," Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says.

Police say the two men were able to grab about $450 and ran off. "There was a brief struggle. One of the individuals gave up the money immediately and there was a struggle with one of the other victims," Washburn says, "He was pushed to the ground and kicked. He had minor injuries."

Nearly two weeks ago, a similar situation happened at another convenience store in the same area. The description of the individual was the same, and that person hasn't been caught. Arab Police are looking into whether or not those two situations are related. "It's very similar to the last case we had, so we're thinking it might be the same suspects," Washburn says, "We're looking into it."

No one else was injured. Arab Police are asking anyone with information to call the department at (256) 586-7525.
