NEW HOPE, Ala. (WHNT) - Seven seniors return for a New Hope team that won eight ball games in 2013 before losing 54-14 to Deshler in the first round of the playoffs.  The Indians have a big hole to fill on the offensive line with two-time all state offensive lineman Dustin Maples having graduated, but Head Coach Randall Taylor likes the talent he has in a large junior class to step up take this team beyond the first round in 2014.

"Defensively we are going to have more team speed than we've had in the last four years. Offensively we have a returning quarterback, and three wide receivers with experience and three experienced running backs as well."  Coach Taylor said before before the team took the field for their first practice of training camp.

The team opens the season on August 29th against Fort Payne, but Senior Jake Wilbourn wishes the game was tomorrow.

"We're all excited to be out here with the boys again, we're ready to start the season and we are ready to kick off now."
