Authorities identify two victims in single-vehicle crash in Hartselle

HARTSELLE, Ala. — Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims killed in the single-vehicle crash in Hartselle late Saturday night.

Harley Wayne Hill, 24, of Decatur was pronounced dead at the scene. Abagale Victorine Holladay, 25, of Athens was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies encountered a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 31 in Flint.

A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle accelerating to over 100 MPH and failing to yield. At 10:31, the pursuit was canceled due to weather/road conditions.

Around 10:34, the vehicle was located at a single-vehicle rollover wreck on Hwy 31 at Lane Road in Hartselle shutting down the Southbound lanes of Hwy 31.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn responded to the crash and notified families. The Hartselle Police Department is handling the investigation.
