OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (WHNT) - Usually if you get pulled over for speeding, it means a ticket.

But officers in Olive Branch, Mississippi are in the holiday spirit and decided to help people out.

This week, when officers pulled speeders over, they'd ask what the driver wanted for Christmas.

Then, a few minutes later, backup arrived from Walmart, presents in hand.

Olive Branch police officers say they were enjoying this initiative as much as the ones getting the gifts.

And say this "Christmas Stopping" is a great way to spread love in the community.

The event was sponsored by the local Walmart.
